The Suffer Fest
I've been an avid hiker all my life, but last winter I decided to take it up a notch and try mountaineering. I spent most of January 2007 in Ecuador and climbed three peaks: 15,700 foot Gua-Gua Pinchincha, 18,700 foot Cayambe and 19,400 foot Cotopaxi. The Suffer Fest is based on my experiences climbing Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.
